Winter Season - Driver / Rental Technician

• Picking up and dropping off guests and equipment from our rental shops and guest accommodations within the village.
• Picking up returned gear from our various ski valet locations.
• Greeting guests and putting them at ease.
• Liaising with shop supervisors to monitor rental stock levels in the shops and transfer equipment between the shops and the storage areas as required.
• Keeping the storage area clean tidy, well organised and secure.
• Snow clearing outside the shops and at our offsite storage areas.
• Assisting in the rental shop with fit outs, returns, and servicing of equipment as required.

• Passionate about snow sports and enjoy sharing that enthusiasm.
  
• Interested in and knowledgeable about skis and boards and snow accessories.
• Genuinely friendly and professional with great communication skills
• Highly organised and energetic with good attention to detail.
• Enjoy working hard as part of a team, but also able to work independently and problem solve while out driving.
• A confident and careful 4wd van driver with experience driving in snowy conditions.
• Enjoy outdoors work in cold, snowy weather.
• Holder of a valid driver’s license with international driving permit (if not a Japanese Resident)
• Have a good command of English - the ability to speak a second language such as Mandarin, Cantonese or Japanese would be a great plus.
• Well presented and neat in appearance.

Pay Rate

• ¥1,500 - ¥1,750 per hour
• 25% overtime allowance for hours worked above prescribed working hours for the month.

Employment Period

• 18 Nov 2024 - 31 March 2025
• Fully paid training at the start of the season.
  

Hours

• Generally 5 days per week, around 40 hours per week.
• Hours will vary through the season depending on business levels with less hours at the start and end of the season (more riding time!) and occasional overtime during peak periods.

Lift Passes

• Your own Free Grand Hirafu season pass with an option of upgrading to All Mountain at an additional cost.
• If you do not need a pass, you will be offered a bonus payment of ¥45,000.

Travel Support Bonus

• ¥30,000 travel cost support bonus upon contract completion.

Subsidised Accommodation and Staff Shuttle

• Subsidised staff accommodation available in Hirafu starting from ¥5,000 per month quad share, ¥15,000 twin share (or double for couples) with all utilities, basic supplies and WiFi included.
• Free Staff shuttle available to Kutchan Town for shopping.

Free Ski & Snowboard Lessons

• Great for first-timers and beginners - free ski/snowboard group lessons with GoSnow (dependent on availability.)

Discounts on HTM's services

• Discounts on stays, restaurants, rentals, massages and more with HTM operated businesses.
